Linda has been a lifelong member of the Uvalde community. After thirty years of teaching at the high school, she realized that retirement wasn't fulfilling, and found 214 Martin as a renewal in cultivating relationships.
"It is all about personal care" Linda shares. "Having an aging parent, this homelike environment appeals to my family instincts. I was drawn to a job that is based on providing a safe, non institutional, nurturing residence for the elderly."
Linda has married and raised her family in Uvalde, and now enrolled in assisted living certification courses, assures us that she is committed to enhancing her town with this focus of helping people continue the meaningful life they have always led.

I have a masters in Gerontology (study of aging) from the University of the Incarnate Word, and started this business to form a new choice to the elderly community. You will not find a higher quality, yet more affordable, residential style assisted living, dedicated to personal care, anywhere in the state of Texas. We have a higher life satisfaction and longer stay than anyone else, and the reasons are evident when you step inside the door.
